Beauty Review: Lush Mother's Day Range 2018 Products

Hello world,
just over a week ago the Lush Mother's Day range made its debut on UK shelves for this year. And while being trained on the products at work, I fell head over heels in love with a couple of them which just had to come home with me. Since then I've had the chance to try them out over a longer period of time, so I can now share my experience with you.

"Honey Bear" Massage Bar

This little guy is without a doubt my favourite product of the whole range. With honey, vanilla absolute and tonka absolute amongst its ingredients this massage bar doesn't just hydrate and soften the skin super effectively but also smells delicious - to me its scent is really nostalgic since it reminds me of the sweet gingerbread that's commonly sold at the fun fairs in Germany that I would visit as a child. I also love that while it's just as intensely hydrating as the other Lush massage bars, it sinks into my skin much quicker, which makes it more practical to use. I might have to stock up on this product before it leaves the range, since I wouldn't want to miss it from my body care routine at the moment.

"Purple Loosestrife" Soap

I was immediately drawn to this soap thanks to its gorgeous design, and since I loved its light floral scent, too, it was no brainer that it would come home with me. When I used it in the shower I liked that the scent of violet leaf and rose notably stayed on my skin and I found that it left my skin feeling squeaky clean, however also a little bit dry (which is surprising considering that the soap base contains cocoa butter). On top of that it also didn't give me enough lather to use it to shave, which is why I probably won't use it on my body again, but as a hand soap it will get plenty of use - and make my sink area look stunning.

"Raspberry Milkshake" Soap

Long story short - out of all of the Lush soaps I've ever tried (and I've tried many) this is one of my favourites. It lathers up super easily and with it being based on almond milk and cocoa butter it softens my skin beautifully. Its fruity and sweet scent (thanks to its ingredients raspberry juice and vanilla absolute) also stays on the skin for a decent amount of time. Even if you're not usually a fan of soaps I would highly recommend giving this one a try!

"Mother of Pearl" Marbled Bubbleroon

Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to use this bubble bar yet due to the fact that I don't have a bath tub in my studio flat, however, I had to get it because I just love its delicious scent, which it shares with one of my Lush staples - Rub Rub Rub shower scrub. While I haven't used it yet, I've demonstrated it on multiple occasions at work and I'm a big fan of how many bubbles it creates while also leaving a moisturised feeling on the skin thanks to its centre made of cocoa, shea and murmuru butter. I would definitely recommend this one to fans of the Rub Rub Rub scent or fans of moisturising baths - and I can't wait to experience it for myself in the bath tub.

May x
