Hello world,
what better way to relaunch my blog than with a monthly favourites post to celebrate the products that I've used lots and loved lots in the first month of the new year?
Without further ado, here are my January 2018 favorites:
Topshop Highlighter "Afterglow"
This product is probably my ultimate favourite of the month. I've bought it on New Years Eve 2017 and everyday since then if I wore make up, I wore it. Its cool, silver toned shimmer compliments my pale complexion and its staying power is amazing - even after a long day at work it's usually still in place. And on top of that I've discovered it's a pretty close dupe for the Kylie Cosmetics "French Vanilla" Kylighter (for a comparison see the picture below), while being so much easier accessible. What's not to love?
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick "Silverfox"
I was very excited to discover that Huda Beauty had opened a stand at Selfridges in late December 2017 and in early January 2018 I finally got to treat myself to one of the brand's liquid lipsticks in the colour "Silverfox". I love its unique cool taupe colour, which is nothing like anything I already have in my very extensive lipstick collection. Also, I wore it to a work part in mid-January and was amazed by its staying power: Even after several drinks and fights with my colleagues in a ball pit (after each other and at the same time), it didn't budge.
Lush Naked Body Scrub "Cherryish"
I've been head over heels in love with this scrub ever since I've smelt it for the first time. The sweet scent of almond essential oil fills my whole shower and the scrub itself is lovely to use since it melts onto the skin very easily (easier than a lot of Lush's other naked body scrubs in my opinion) and leaves it feeling very soft and hydrated.
May x
