March 2018 Favourites

Hello world,
March has been incredibly busy, which is why I unfortunately didn't have much time to blog or try out new beauty products. Still, there were two standout products which made my life a lot easier and my beauty routine a lot more enjoyable this past month.

DevaCurl "Supercream" - I hadn''t been happy with the way my hair looked in the longest time, because ever since I first ombre dyed my hair in early 2017 I felt like my hair looked limp and didn't hold it's natural defined wave for much longer than a day.
Then, by complete conicidence, I found a blogpost by an American girl who was raving about the DevaCurl "Supercream" and how it had made her hair feel stronger and look more defined almost instantly. Since this was exactly what I was aiming to achieve for my hair, I decided to give it a go and ordered it from Amazon.
The first time I used it, I applied it in layers onto dry hair and was immediately amazed by how much volume and definition it gave to my waves and since I've applied this product almost daily ever since, I've also noticed that my hair is feeling a long stronger and healthier on top of that.
Another great point about the "Supercream" is its ingredients. It is very natural - amongst its main ingredients are coconut oil (which is as we all know a great remedy for frizzy, dry and unruly hair), ethyl macadamiate (which is a hydrating derivate from macadamia oil) and hydroxypropyl starch phosphate (which is a sugar and natural alternative to silicones, which gives the hair a silky feel).
The only downside that I see about this product is its rather hefty price tag (24.99 pounds for 150 ml) but since the fact that my hair is looking better has made me feel so much more happy and confident in March, I might just bite the bullet and repurchase it once I run out.

The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil - Since March was a stressful month for me, my skin reacted to it accordingly - with a lot of breakouts, and the overproduction of oils whilst still feeling dry. In order to manage that I went back to one of my tried and tested remedies for when my skin is problematic - rosehip oil. Only a couple of drops smoothed on my face twice a day worked wonders for making my skin look more balanced and radiant and they helped clear my skin faster whenever blemishes appeared and prevented them leaving red spots afterwards (which is something that is unfortunately common for me). Since the 30 ml bottle from The Ordinary has lasted me for months and is only 9 pounds, I will for sure keep this one as a staple in my beauty stash.

May x
