Beauty Review: Lush Naked Slapstick Foundation - 7C

when you work in beauty retail like me the launch of new products is a wonderful breath of fresh air and becomes something you look forward to. At the beginning of this month we celebrated such an occasion at my work, with the exclusive launch of the new Lush make up range, including the new naked foundations called "Slapsticks".

I stopped wearing foundation when I was 20, as all the ones I tried either didn't match my skin tone or ended up clogging my pores and/or making me break out horrifically. This is why I was initially cautious, but after I tried on a Slapstick to take pictures for my shop's social media accounts, I really loved the result and decided that I wanted to try this product out in more depth and bought one in the colour I got matched with (7C).

the second to last month of the year has officially started which means it's once again time for me to look back at the previous month and talk about the products I loved and used the most. As half of my month consisted of traveling, for work and for a mini holiday at home in Germany, my list of favourite products for October 2018 is short, but sweet!

Beauty Review: Lush Labs Limited Edition Showergels - Avocado Wash & Sultana

as a long time fan of Lush I have some firm favorite products, and I get excited every time a limited edition is released that features the scent of one of those products in some way. This is why there was no question that I needed to order some shower gels from the Lush Labs' most recent product release: "Sultana" and "Avocado Wash"

Beauty Review: Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

I remember when I was in my teens and struggling with unpredictable skin issues, I was looking forward to my twenties because I thought that I would've been able to say goodbye to spots and breakouts by then. Now at 25 I can look back at my 16 year old self and tell her: "Oh if you only knew...".
I'm lucky that I don't suffer from major acne but I do get the occasional spot pretty regularly, especially if I'm stressed or hormonal. Because of this I'm always on the lookout for a good spot treatment as I like to treat my skin only where it's needed. This is why the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion made it into my basket when I went beauty shopping at Liberty's the other week.

Beauty Review: Bianca Del Rio's The Bianca Remover

ever since one of my friends from work introduced me to "RuPaul's Drag Race" a couple of years ago I've become a big fan of the show and drag performers in general. I especially love the artistry that the queens express through their make up, which is why I follow a lot of Drag Race alumni on social media.
This is where I came across a new product that one of the queens, Bianca del Rio, is selling: The Bianca Remover. Queens were posting videos of themselves testing these new make up remover pads to take off heavy drag make up all over instagram, and they all showed amazing results. So I thought what's good enough for a drag queen's make up is definitely good enough for mine and ordered a pack of The Bianca Remover from Amazon to try it out.

What I Got For My 25. Birthday

in my most recent post I mentioned that March was a very busy month for me. One of the reasons for this was an exciting one - towards the end of the month it was my birthday!
And like every year I got thoroughly spoiled. Even though I live in a different country than my dad and my sister they managed to get some presents to me, and my friends did not only spend the day with me and took me out to see a show and for dinner but they also got me some lovely treats.
Since I'm in love with everything I got given, and because I really like looking at and reading about other people's presents, here is a post dedicated to the presents I got for my 25. birthday.

I sure do, so when I heard the news that the Lush shop I work for was going to receive a limited amount of stock of brand new products which had been sold at the Lush Summit 2018, I couldn't resist and came into my workplace even though it was my day off and did some shopping.

And after having tried most of the products out I can say - leaving my bed was worth it.

have you ever felt worried but you couldn't exactly pinpoint about what? Have you doubted your abilities or professional performance without any trigger? Then you probably experienced a form of anxiety.
In today's busy world anxiety and other mental health problems have become more widespread than ever, but thankfully awareness about them is rising too, as are opportunities to find help and relief.

I've been suffering from anxiety from my early teens. I was always known as a child that worried a lot in my family, but this worrying and overthinking became extreme in my last years of secondary school, especially manifesting itself in exam anxiety. While it's been an up and down since, throughout the years I've thankfully found some physical things and techniques that have helped me to relieve periods of anxiety relatively fast.
